Dry drains: Timed or intermittent discharges, mainly used for branch pipelines.

Wet drains: continuous discharge, mainly used for main lines. 1. Classification of wet drains ① positive pressure high pressure single type ② negative pressure low pressure double type

Selection of drainer

1. The selector of the type of drainer is divided into horizontal drainer and vertical drainer. Usually used on gas pipelines are straight drains (dry drains) and water-sealed drains (wet drains). The selection of water-sealed drains should meet the performance requirements.

1.1 Straight drains Straight drains are also called dry drains, which are manually drained regularly. ·Used in places where the gas pressure is greater than or equal to 0.04MPa. ·The room is narrow and the water-sealed drain cannot be installed. · Places with special requirements where the displacement is less than 2 L/h.

1.2 Horizontal water-sealed drains Since horizontal water-sealed drains are not resistant to breakdown, they are only used near places with pressure-regulating, venting and other pressure-stabilizing facilities. It is recommended to use it within 20 times the diameter of the gas main pipe from the pressure regulating and releasing facilities.

1.3 Vertical water-sealed drainer ①Safe water-sealed drainer with no gas leakage at the drain port is preferred.
