Characteristic analysis of fiber ball filter
The diameter of the wire is relatively thin, and the surface area per gram can reach up to 2000㎡. After effective superposition, the porosity can be higher than 80%. Compared with the traditional filter material, the interception effect is better.
The fiber ball filter has the characteristics of hydrophilicity and non-sticking oil. After encountering water, a large amount of water molecules will gather on the surface of the fiber filament, forming a layer of water film on the surface, which acts as a good isolation layer between the oil and the fiber ball.
Through backwashing, the oily dirt on the surface of the fiber ball can be cleaned, which has a renewable performance.
Working principle of fiber ball filter
Suspended solids will accumulate on the surface of the medium and form a filter cake through bridging, filtration and other processes to improve the accuracy of filtration. At the same time, the pores of the filter material will also decrease, increasing the resistance of filtration.
When the resistance increases to a certain level, the bridging relationship will be impacted by subsequent suspended particles and then destroyed, and new larger suspended particles will replace the destroyed bridging relationship to continue to intercept and filter the suspended solids in the oily sewage.
Comparison of fiber ball filter and other filter materials
Walnut shell filter material: strong adsorption capacity, high hardness, wear resistance, large filtration capacity, but poor effect on the removal of suspended solids in oily sewage.
Double-layer filter material filter: strong dirt-holding capacity, relatively simple operation, convenient operation and management, and is more suitable for advanced sewage treatment.
Quartz sand filter: It is the most widely used equipment in the oilfield water treatment system at present. Because of its simple structure, easy maintenance and easy operation, it has a good sewage treatment effect.
As a new type of oilfield sewage fine filtration equipment, fiber ball filter has obvious advantages: including hydrophilic and oleophobic, large surface area, high porosity, good regeneration performance, etc., the advantages are more obvious in the treatment of low-permeability oil reservoir sewage. Realizing high-precision filtration plays an important role in improving the sustainability of oilfield development operations.
