Construction of Candle Filters:

  Candle filter is a kind of filter which uses the filter element as the skeleton, solid particles or filter aids as the filter medium, and uses pump pressure to realize liquid clarification. It is an advanced filter system with careful design and reliable filtering effect.

How Candle Filters Work:

The filter cloth support tube is composed of a non-porous central tube and six porous tubes.

The liquid passes through the filter cloth, flows from the perforated tube to the center tube, and then flows to the liquid collection tube. The filter cloth is attached to the outer surface of the support tube under pressure. The concave-convex support tube can increase the filtration area and help fix the filter cake to prevent the filter cake from falling off, thereby stabilizing the filtration effect.

Backwash status

The backflush gas is introduced, and it flows from the non-porous central tube to the porous tube, the filter cloth bulges and becomes round, effectively vibrates and peels off the filter cake, and at the same time removes the particles in the filter cloth fiber, improves the backflush efficiency, and quickly restores the filtration capacity of the filter cloth

The installation of high-performance and precise filter elements can directly perform fine filtration, and the filter cake peeling performance is excellent, with the highest precision reaching 0.2μm.

precoat filter

The surface of the filter element is pre-coated with diatomite, perlite and other filter aids to form a filter cake layer, and the filter cake layer is used as the filter medium for filtration, which can achieve the filtration effect of the clarification level.

Filter cake recovery

Large filter area, high filter cake peeling performance, can recover a large amount of high-value filter cake from liquid with high solid content at one time, if adding drying design, it can also obtain a relatively dry filter cake with a water content of less than 20%.

slurry thickening

In the case of not discharging particles, periodically backwash and regenerate the filter element and continue to filter, continuously increase the concentration of particle materials in the filter, and discharge the slurry for reuse after reaching a certain concentration.

filter cake washing

The intercepted filter cake is directly washed multiple times in the filter, and the drying design is added to realize the integration of filtering, washing, drying and unloading operations, which reduces investment, shortens the process flow, and saves energy consumption.
